On August 20-21, 2018, the SLICE3D consortium partner, Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) from Trento, Italy, hosted the representatives of the SLICE3D consortium partners from Slovenia, i.e. from the University of Ljubljana, the Surveying and Mapping Authority of the Republic of Slovenia, and private company XLAB. During the meeting, the research projects at the FBK as well as at the institutions from Slovenia in the geospatial domain were presented. Future collaboration options were also discussed, also within the teaming project.

The meeting was a nice opportunity to visit local organisations in the geospatial domain. Among others, we visited the regional surveying and mapping authority of Trentino-Alto Adige with an interesting historic exhibition on land cadastre and land registry. Last but not least, this was a nice opportunity for socializing – the mix of Alpine and Adriatic climates always gives us energy for further work!

Eleven guests from Slovenia visited FBK.
Researchers from FBK shared their experiences with the guests from Slovenia, and vice versa.
A relaxing atmosphere after hard work during the day in the mountains close to Trento.
